About us

New West Foods commenced  in 1988, by servicing local takeaways with fresh and frozen fish, frozen chips, cooking oils and by products, in Perth Western Australia by its founders Con & Despa Venoutsos.

From humble beginnings the business has grown significantly whilst maintaining a strong presence in traditional markets with individual takeaway operators.  New West now services, with broadline food service products, restaurants, taverns, cafes, lunch bars, caterers, state and national contracts, institutional accounts such as aged care, prisons and hospitals, and the largest stadium in Western Australia – Optus Stadium. The Malaga warehouse boasts over 2000 products in fresh, chilled, frozen and ambient storage and we can supply in excess of 3500 km across the state, whilst still having a large centre of plate offer in fresh seafood.

Seeing New West’s growth had a lot to do with ranging, it was necessary for the business to join a buying group, and NAFDA was evaluated as the preferred choice. From being the sole member in Western Australia in 2000, NAFDA boasts six members in Western Australia, of 70 nationally. NAFDA ensures customers are buying at the most competitive prices and through our promotional catalogue, Best of the Best, earn rewards for your business.
